Consistent hygiene is required to protect health and prevents the transmission of pathogens to people and the environment. Sterilization and disinfection of hands, wounds and equipment are particularly important in nursing and medical care. Our hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid grades are used here specifically to protect against infection.
Human Use and Pharmaceutical Ingredients
Our hydrogen peroxide grade PERSYNT® is approved in accordance with the applicable GMP guideline as an active pharmaceutical ingredient in medical devices for use on humans. The product is applied for medical treatments, as a disinfectant in the dental and wound area, for foot and hand disinfection.
Decontamination
We offer hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid as disinfectants and sterilizers for medical equipment in doctors' offices to control microbiological risks both as biocides and medical devices. Our specially developed products PERSYNT® Steri and PERACLEAN® Steri meet the requirements of EN ISO 13485 for the manufacture of medical devices.
Hospital and Medical Device Hygiene
Peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide are also used in hospitals as highly effective disinfectants against pathogens on surfaces, doorknobs and handrails. They are used to sterilize medical instruments and equipment and are effective against a wide range of bacteria, bacterial spores, viruses and fungi.
