Soil and Groundwater Remediation

GeoForm™ webinars

Our webinars cover the fundamental biological and geochemical processes involved in applying reductive technologies for in situ treatment of chlorinated organics and metals. We show you how GeoForm™ provides a source of sulfate, iron, electron donors, pH buffers, and nutrients to promote mechanisms for dehalogenation through enhanced anaerobic bioremediation, abiotic degradation, and the formation of reactive minerals. GeoForm™ can be used to treat groundwater and saturated soils contaminated by persistent halogenated compounds and also immobilizes many heavy metals.

Dan Leigh will explain the biological and geochemical processes involved in applying reductive technologies to the in situ treatment of chlorinated organics and metals. Our GeoForm™ family of reagents improves upon current biological and chemical reduction reagents by generating large quantities of reactive minerals such as reactive iron-sulfide (FeS).

For more than two decades, biological (enhanced reductive dechlorination; ERD) and abiotic (in situ chemical reduction; ISCR) reduction processes have been used to remediate chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) in situ. Our GeoForm™ reagents combine biogeochemical reduction with ERD and ISCR mechanisms to more aggressively degrade CVOCs in situ. This presentation will describe how chemical and biological treatment processes can be enhanced by GeoForm™.
