Case Studies
ISGS® Technology
ISGS® technology has been applied at a range of sites to stabilize persistent NAPL sources and reduce contaminant flux in the subsurface. We illustrate how the approach performs under different geological and chemical conditions. Our projects include field observations, treatment behavior, and verified analytical outcomes that demonstrate the reliability and long‑term stability of ISGS® in practice.
ISGS® Technology Pilot Study Report: In Situ Geochemical Stabilization (ISGS) for NAPL Management
This report shows that ISGS® formed a stable mineral crust within about 60 days, confirmed through soil cores that clearly encapsulated NAPL and reduced permeability. Laboratory and field analyses documented strong reductions in PAH concentrations in both soil and leachate, and free product in monitoring wells dropped to non‑detect shortly after injection. These results demonstrate effective NAPL stabilization and a significant reduction in contaminant flux under real site conditions. The report also includes all variance‑related analytical data and field observations required for regulatory review.
